Salman Khan

Salman Khan, who made his acting debut with the film Biwi Ho To Aisi in the year 1988, had his first commercial success with the blockbuster Maine Pyar Kiya which came in 1989.

Salman Khan won a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for his performance in Maine Pyar Kiya. Salman Khan went on to star in some of Bollywood's most successful films, such as Saajan (1991), Hum Aapke HaLinkin Kaun (1994), Biwi No.1 (1999), having appeared in the highest earning films of five separate years during his career.

In 1999, the actor won a Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for his extended appearance in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), and since then has starred in several critical and commercial successes, including Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Tere Naam (2003), No Entry (2005) and Partner (2007). Salman got the fame and became one of the most prominent leading actors of Hindi cinema.

Tere Naam, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and No Entry were successful at the box office. But 2006 was an unsuccessful year for him when Jaan-E-Mann and Baabul both failed at the box office. Partner did very well at the box office, receiving a blockbuster verdict.

The latest releases of the actor are Wanted releasing on September 18, 2009, Main Aur Mrs. Khanna that will be releasing on October 16, 2009, London Dreams is all set to get released on October 30, 2009 and 2010 Veer is yet to be completed. The actor has acted in more than 78 films throughtout his career facing ups and downs both in personal and professional life.

The Perfectionist-Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan was born on March 14, 1965. He is a famous actor, director and producer of Bollywood. Aamir started his film career as a child artist acting in his uncle Nasir Hussain's film Yaadon Ki Baaraat which came in 1973.

Aamir Khan began his professional career eleven years later with the 1984 film, Holi. Aamir had his first commercial success with the most noted film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), for which he won a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award. Aamir Khan also received his first Filmfare Best Actor Award for his performance in the flick Raja Hindustani that came in 1996.

In 2001, the actor made his debut as a film producer with the Academy Award-nominated Lagaan and played the lead role in the film and earned his second Filmfare Best Actor Award for his performance. after doing Ketan Mehta's Mangal Pandey: The Rising (2005), Aamir won a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance for his role in Rang De Basanti (2006).

In 2007, after making directorial debut with Taare Zameen Par he received a Filmfare Best Director Award. This was followed by Ghajini (2008), which became the highest-grossing Indian film of all-time. Aamir Khan is currently working for his new project Three Idiots and will be producing Delhi Belly which is directed by Abhinay Deo.

Sunny Deol-Bollywood Actor

The Punjabi Munda born on October 19, 1961, Sunny Deol had a superhit debut in his home production Betaab (1983). Sunny had a bunch of hits in his hands with the films like Paap Ki Duniya (1988), Tridev (1989), Chaalbaaz (1989), Vishwatma, Vardi, Ghayal etc.

His home production film Ghayal won him the National award for the Best actor along with the Filmfare Award for the Best Actor. The actor has also done average films like Joshiley, Sultnaut, Sohni Mahiwal,Samundar.

Sunny Deol delivered huge hits through the 90's in Narsimha (1991), Lootere (1993), Damini (1993), Darr (1993). His supporting actor role of a drunk lawyer in 'Damini' (1993) gave him all the awards and accolades in Bollywood induatry.

Sunny Deol's performance in Darr (1993) was not well received by critics. In the mid 90's Sunny again came up with five big hits which were Jeet (1996), Ghatak (1996), Ajay (1996), Ziddi (1997) and Border (1997).

Sunny Deol's biggest blockbuster till date came in the year 2001, with the all time blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The film gathered all records at the Indian box-office. Among his last few movies Apne (2007) and Heroes (2008) have done well in box office.

The year 2009 will witness Sunny Deol with new projects like Airport, Hello Darling (special extended appearance), FilmiKhabar ,The Man, Right Yaa Wrong, Kshitij, Devaa and Punjab Gold which is a Punjabi Movie.

Govinda

Govinda was born on December 21, 1963. Govinda also known as Chi Chi in Bollywood industry is a Filmfare award-winning Indian actor and politician. He has appeared in over 120 Hindi language films.

At the start of his career, his acting and dancing skills gained him widespread attention among film viewers. Govinda later gained worldwide fame as a Bollywood icon through comedy films such as Shola Aur Shabnam, Aankhen, Coolie No.1, Haseena Maan Jaayegi and Partner.

Govinda is a member of the Indian National Congress Party. He was elected as the 7th Member of Parliament for the Mumbai North Constituency of Maharashtra, India in the 14th Lok Sabha elections after defeating Ram Naik of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Govinda's first film to be released Ilzaam (1986) was a box office success and 5th biggest hit of 1986. The film established him as a dancing star. Govinda acted in a string of movies after that with mixed success. Govinda played the role of a villain for the first time in his career in Shikari (2000). Although the movie was not a commercial success, Govinda's convincing portrayal of a sociopath murderer was critically acclaimed.

For the year 2009 Govinda is packed with movies like Chal Chala Chal which is the remake of Ee Parakum thalika and the films release postponed multiple times. Main Aur Mrs Khanna, Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai which is the remake of My Cousin Vinny, Life Partner, Naughty @ 40, the movie is the remake of The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Loot, Chai Garam, Ab Dilli Door Nahin, Run Bhola Run, Showman, Do Knot Disturb and Raavan.

Premnath-Indian film actor

Premnath born in Peshawar on November 21, 1926. He was an actor in Indian films. Premnath made his film debut in Ajit. He got major roles in Raj Kapoor first directorial film Aag and Barsaat (1949) which was his first major success.

Premnath went on to appear in many films for the next three decades, some of which were the biggest blockbusters in Indian film history. Some of Premnath's most notable films were Aan (1952), Teesri Manzil (1966), Johny Mera Naam (1970), Tere Mere Sapne (1971), Roti Kapada Aur Makaan (1974), Dharmatma (1975), Kalicharan (1976) and Desh Premee (1982). He also starred in the religious Punjabi film Sat Sri Akal (1977).

He fell in love with actress Bina Rai during the filming of Aurat. They married and formed a production company together called P.N. films. They pinned high hopes for their films, which didn't become hits, such as "Shagufa," "Prisoner of Golconda," "Samunder" and "Watan." Thus, the Premnath-Bina Rai pairing never clicked on the screen.

Premnath earned Filmfare nominations as Best Supporting Actor for Shor (1972), Bobby (1973), Amir Garib (1974), and Roti Kapda Aur Makaan (1974). Apart from Bollywood films, the actor also appeared in an episode of the American television series Maya in 1967 and a 1969 American film titled Kenner opposite former football player turned actor Jim Brown.

His last film appearance was in Hum Dono (1985) after which he retired from acting. He died on November 3, 1992 of a heart attack at the age of 66.
