Boman Irani

Boman Irani famous actor bollywood industry, he is basically known for his comedy. He was born on 1October, 1962 in Mumbai. He graduate from Mithibai College, Mumbai after completing his graduation Boman start pursuing with Life Insurance Corporation of India from 1982to 1985. Boman loves photography then he started photography in 1987 and he became professional photographer.


Boman loves acting from early childhood when he was in school and college he had participated in drama after to make his career in acting he started taking tuitions from Hansraj Siddhia from 1981 to 1983. Then he started working in theater to make himself more proficient and perfect in acting. He has done more than 40 plays and among them 15 he acted as a lead actor, which gives him motivation.

Then got entered in film and advertisement industry he started out in a number of advertisements like Fanta, Krackjack, Ceat and his first debut movie was Josh 1999, in which he played a role of father D'Mello, and after that he has done number of movie which are box office hit movies. Boman got fan from the movie Muna Bhai MBBS, his role in that movie was most memorable.

Boman has worked with many prominent producer and director in there movie like Main Hoo Naa, My Wife's Muder, No Entry, Bluffmaster , his forthcoming movies are Teen Patti, Kaun Bola?, Mirch which we are expecting same comedy like others.

Bhagwan Dada

Bhagwan Dada (1913- 4th February 2002), was an actor, producer and film director. He was well known for his social movie Albela. His real name was Bhagwan Abhaji Palav. His father was a textile mill worker. Though,he worked as a labourer but his ultimate destination was Hindi Film Industry. He always dreamt of films. Bhagwan Dada got his first break with small roles in silent films.

Bhagwan DadaFrom 1938 to 1949,he directed many low budget movies, their genere was action. Bhagwan Dada used to play a naive simpleton. In the year 1962, he became a producer and owned Jagriti Studios, Chembur. He made a social movie named Albela on the advice of Raj Kapoor. The movie was a huge hit, it's song Shola Jo Bhadke is still remembered.

Bhagwan Dada's later life was not so good, he gave up direction, sold his cars and bungalow and shifted to a chawl. Most of his near and dear ones left him in the time of his need but his friends Om Prakash, lyricist Rajinder Krishnan and C.Ramachandran used to come to meet him even in his chawl. He died at age 89.

Balraj Sahni

Balraj Sahni (1 May 1913–13 April 1973, (Taurus),was a noted Hindi film actor. He belonged to a Punjabi Khatri family from Bhera, his real name was Yudhishthir Sahni. Balraj Sahni was the brother of Bhisham Sahni who was famous actor, writer and playwright. He has done M.A in English from Lahore after that he went to Rawalpindi to join his family business.

Balraj Sahni has also done Bachelors in Hindi, followed by Masters in English from Punjab university. After completing his studies, he married Damayanti Sahni who was a heroine. Balraj Sahni has also worked with Mahatama Gandhi for a year. In the year 1939, he went to England to join B.B.C London's Hindi service as an announcer on Radio. He came back to India in 1943. He began his acting career with the plays of the IIPTA-Indian People's Theatre Association, his first movie was Insaaf(1946).

Balraj Sahni's most memorable movie was Kabuliwala, penned by Rabinmdra Nath Tagore. Some of his movies are Seema (1955), Sone Ki Chidiya (1958), Satta Bazar (1959) and Bhabhi Ki Chudiyan(1961). Balraj Sahni was a great writer,his early writings were in English, then he switched to Punjabi and became a renowned writer in Punjabi Literature.He wrote many short stories and poem.He has written his autobiography called 'Meri Filmi Aatmakatha'. In the year 1969, he was entitled with Padma Shri award.

Madan Puri

Madan Puri was an actor in Hindi and Punjabi films. He was born in 1915, Nawanshahr, Punjab, India. His father's name was Lala Nihal Chand and mother's was Ved Kaur.Madan Puri had three brothers and one sister, his elder brother Chaman Puri,younger brother Amrish Puri(an Indian actor),younger brother Harish Puri and a younger sister Chandrakanta Meh.

Madan Puri has spent over 40 years in Indian cinema,he has done more than 300 films.He made a debut with movie Ahinsa in 1946. He has performed different kinds of roles in the movies, playing not only negative characters,but also the hero's or heroine's father, uncle, brother, grandfather,politician and police officer .Madan Puri has appeared in many Punjabi movies like Jatt Punjabi and Jatti.

Madan Puri left the world in 1985 at the age of 69. He died of a heart attack. Many films he had completed were released after his death right until 1989, his last film was Santosh. Some of his movies are-Anmol Ratan (1950), Deewana (1952), Howrah Bridge(1958), Taqdeer(1958), Kashmir Ki Kali (1964) and so on.

Asrani -" Hum Angrezon Ke Zamane Ke Jailor Hain"

Asrani was born on 1 January 1941(Capricorn), Jaipur, India. His real name is Govardhan Asrani, popularly known simply as Asrani.He has spanned over 35 years in Bollywood.He belongs to a middle class Sindhi Family,his father came to Jaipur and opened a shop selling carpets. Though, Asrani had no interest in business, he wanted to become an actor.

AsraniAsrani has done his matriculation from Xaviers School and graduation from Rajasthan College, Jaipur. During his graduation, he worked as a voice over artist on All India Radio, Jaipur.From 1960 to 1962, Asrani began to learn acting from Acting Guru- Sahitya Kalbhai Thakkar. He came to Bombay in 1962 and began his hunt.In 1963, Hrishikesh Mukherjee advised him to learn acting professionally. He joined Film Institute in Poona from 1964-1966.

Asrani got his first break in a Gujrati movie. His first Hindi movie was Umang followed by Baawarchee. This movie opened the way for comic roles like Abhimaan, Chupke Chupke , Chala Murari Hero Banne, Chhoti si Baat and his most remarkable role as the Jailor in the movie Sholay.

Asrani was also appeared in the films- Chup Chup Ke, Hera Pheri, Deewane Hue Paagal and Hulchul. He has acted in over 300 films.

Mehmood-'Man who made the Nation Laugh'

Mehmood Ali (September 29, 1932 – July 23, 2004) was a well known comic actor, he has acted in more than 300 movies. Mehmood Ali, popularly known as Mehmood was an actor, producer and director. Before stepping into the spot light, Mehmood use to drive cars and run errands for a few rupees. He worked as a driver for the Director P.L. Santoshi.

MehmoodHe is a son of actor-dancer Mumtaj Ali, he had an elder sister and six siblings were younger than him. Mehmood's first movie was Kismet. Director P.L.Santoshi's son Rajkumar Santoshi gave him a chance in his venture Andaz Apna Apna, he was hired to teach table tennis to Meena Kumari. Later he married Madhu ( Meena Kumari's sister).

Mehmood got a small break in the movie C.I.D followed by Do Beegha Zameen and Pyasa. He was well known for his comedy. Mehmood's first break as an actor and a director was the movie Bhoot Bangla, he followed the footsteps of Jhony Walker. His remarkable movies as a comedian are- Love In Tokyo, Padosan, Pyaar Kiye Ja. As Director, his well known movie is Kunwara Baap.
