Madhavan Raganathan was born on 1 June, 1970, Jamshedpur (MP). Maddy has complete Maddy has completed his degree in electronics. In the year 1988 he has chosen to represent India as a cultural ambassador of NCC Cadet. When he was 22year he was awarded as a Maharastra best Cadet and get the opportunity to receive the training in Royal Army, Naval and Air Force but he rejected because Maddy is interested in acting but his father was not in favour of this.
Madhavan has started his acting career after marriage, his first movie was Alaipayuthey, which was a romantic movie in the year 2000. In 2002, he has given blockbuster Tamilian movie Kannathil Muthmittal. In the year 2007, Madhavan launched his own Production House, Leukos Films which will distribute films in coming years. Maddy has worked with many Bollywood movies also ike Rang De Bansanti, Guru, Delhi Heights, 13B, his forthcoming movies are Three Idiots, Teen Patti, Tanu weds Manu.
Madhavan endorses the brand PETA and he was voted as a 'Cute Male Vegetarian'. In July 2006, Paradox Studio launched two mobile games titles featuring Madhavan as lead character. Madhavan is a brand ambassdor of Spark mobile, Waganor R series.
